    Hi,

I want to save my drawings on chart for later use, when I need to go out from the machine and come back again. Is there any option to do it?

For example, I want to mark some important areas on the chart to trade when the price to come there. In case if I log out and re-log in, may I be able to have the same chart with the drawings I wrote?

    Tnx,
    Sakthi

PS: I hope I am clear enough.

Can you please add a volume profile for each price. This really helps in Amibroker.

It would be very useful if you could add it as an indicator on Pi.

    Thank you in advance

  7. K R ANAND March 5, 2016 at 3:22 pm

Give Automatic Trendline and support resistance line drawings. At least smooth line like KITE.

  13. Debkrishna Ghosh Dastidar March 23, 2016 at 2:47 am

1 . Please make the candle wick’s colour same as the colour of the candle just like Trade tiger or let us able to customize the candle settings like Amibroker ,
2 . Please let us to change the chart background colour .
3 . Allow us to move tools like horizontal lines vertical lines etc in real time and let us draw multiple tools with different colour .
4 . Please add custom input overbought and oversold levels in Rsi stochastics etc and adx line like 20 or 25

If these are done pi will be the best trading software in India .

    Thank You

  14. Saket Kumar March 23, 2016 at 9:21 am

    1. Point noted
    2. You can change the background color by choosing View->Application Style to any of the 4 colors.
3.Horizontal/Vertical lines can be moved already, multiple tools can be drawn too with same color right now.Next release we will have option to change color of individual drawing as well.
    4.Point noted

  15. Ritesh March 30, 2016 at 4:09 am

I have three recommendation to make ,

1>In a chart I can view the Limit or SL-M order , but if I close the chart and reopened it it is not reflecting . The system should fetch the Limit or SL-M order and make is visible in graph at any point of time .

2>Suppose I have place a Limit or SL-M order normally (not from graph). Now in later stage if we open the particular chart of the script it should show the Limit or SL-M point , which is presently not available in pi .

3>If it possible to modify any Limit or SL-M order just by dragging the arrow to the desire price point (rather then double clicking and manually entering the price ) it would be more user friendly and less time taking .

Appreciate all your hard work so far .

  16. raj March 31, 2016 at 6:45 pm

it will be better if option provided to open chart directly (presently we have to open chart through market watch)

  17. Sharda B Malve March 31, 2016 at 10:31 pm

Saket Kumar, refer ur reply to Saktivel on Mar 2. The drawings on saved charts do not appear when you open the chart after re-login. Please check. It is important that drawings appear upon opening charts after re-login.

  18. Saket Kumar April 1, 2016 at 8:58 am

    Hi Ritesh,
1,2,3- We have this in our to do list.In our coming releases(not immediate) we will have this.

    Hi Raj,
We already have this, from chart toolbar in the chart itself you can open any other chart easily.

    Hi Sharda B Malve,
There are two ways to achieve saved drawings-
1.Save chart to disk ,and then load chart from disk. This would restore your indicators and drawings
2.Also,drawings(and indicators) can be saved in save chart template. And use option default template (in user settings) ,so when you open a new chart this template gets applied.
Note-The position were the drawings were drawn -you can try this after market hrs to see the effect easily. In case data points are not found drawings may not be drawn

  19. Uday Nandiwada April 5, 2016 at 4:33 pm

Is there a way to disable the splash screen when I start Pi? Pi takes a while to load and the splash screen is on top of all other windows blocking them.

I know that I can pull that aside, but I don’t want to have the splash screen at all. At least, it should not be on top of all other windows.

  20. jomon joseph April 6, 2016 at 10:43 am

Is there any plans to introduce the basket order feature in Pi? At present I have to use the ZT to place basket orders and then login to Pi for rest of the work.

  21. Vivek April 7, 2016 at 3:25 pm

    Nice Post thanks for sharing.

  22. Ankit April 8, 2016 at 12:49 pm

    Hi,

I have noticed now that the maximum number of daily candles we can view on Pi is 48 irrespective of what we choose.

Is this a bug and when will we be able to see historical charts?

Can the scaling of the chart be locked ?

  23. Sharda B Malve April 8, 2016 at 12:54 pm

saket kumar – I know how to use templates in charts and it works well. However, everyday I draw horizontal lines to identiy the supports and resistances by right click and insert horizontal line. After I save the chart to disk and relaunch it upon re-login the horizontal lines do not appear. I have to redraw these. Please fix this problem. It is really cumbersome work to keep drawing these lines everyday. Thanks.

    Sharda B Malve

  24. Saket Kumar April 8, 2016 at 4:27 pm

    Hi Uday,
Yes you can minimize Pi,splash screen will be minimized as well.

    Hi Jomon,
Yes in future releases we will have basket orders as well in Pi.

    Hi Ankit,
As Pi has 10 years of daily data for NSE-CM,BSE-CM,can you let us know which scrip and exchange you are trying or mail us at info@tradelab.in with screenshot we will revert

    Hi Sharda,
I got your point, horizontal lines are not saved in the drawings in the saved chart to disk ,but it will be there in the chart change/timeframe change. We will work on this to have it saved in the save chart to disk.
You can use pivot/resistance lines as well (right click on chart)

  25. Rahul Tripathy April 13, 2016 at 11:05 am

    Hi,

I am a newcomer here, would you tell me how could I see weekly or monthly charts of any script in Pi.

    Thanks,
    Rahul Tripathy.

  26. Sadik Shaik April 16, 2016 at 9:32 pm

Hi sir, Pi doesn’t have wings to fly… please take below suggestions.

Pi have to be developed in 2 major areas:

    1) without opening a single chart in Pi, it should run my 5 to 10 trading strategies on over 100 scrip’s.
(Should give popup alert with sound)
Pi scanner does not meet above needs. At present Pi scanner is Deaf and Dumb. We have to look always at alert time.
    (a) I want to apply 5 to 10 trading strategies on 100 scrip’s with 5min, 15min, and 1hr time frames. Example: RSI, MACD, EMA crossover, SMA crossover, Candlestick Patterns, 52weeks high low, high volume/low volume, super trend….
    (b) If u suggests me about Pi Expert advisors, we have to open 300charts to meet above requirement. (100scrips, 5Min, 15Min, 1hr=300charts)
    (c) There was thousands of scrip’s trading in exchange, so at least i have to track 100scrips to get buy/sell signals

    2) Develop Pi to take strategies instantly by just selecting indicator name which I applied on chart. (Example: if I added EMA 20, EMA 50, pi should take EMA crossover strategy by just selecting indicator names)
There should be a new option to build my strategy just by selecting with mouse or just changing the values of indicator.
At present for my above needs i have to depend on other technical analysis software’s 🙁

  27. Saket Kumar April 17, 2016 at 9:03 am

    Hi Rahul,
Currently weekly/monthly/yearly charts are not available. But surely we will add these in future.

    Hi Sadik,
Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback. We will check and see the feasibility of addition of these features.

  28. vijesh April 19, 2016 at 12:12 am

    Hi there ,

    thank you for Pi,

is there any Chance for fibonacci projecttions and fibonacci retracement ratios like 78.6

  29. Ravi Kumar Tammineni April 20, 2016 at 10:43 pm

When I can Expect Mac version of PI … i am really missing this 🙁

  30. Rachit S April 23, 2016 at 11:49 am

When can we see the new release of Pi,and if can you list out the features in that release?

  31. Saket Kumar April 23, 2016 at 12:05 pm

    Hi Vijesh,
We have this in our to do list.

    Hi Ravi,
Right now using Pi in Mac(or Linux) is only possible using Parallels or Virtual Box/machine(VM).

It’s very easy to install VM on your Mac or Linux(you can google to install),and we suggest you to go ahead with that,as many international platforms too run only on Windows environment eg. Amibroker / NinjaTrader /MetaTrader etc (due to the Microsoft Windows only dependencies used ).Also Pi has been tested successfully to run smoothly on VM in Linux and Mac.

Alternatively there is something called WINE on Mac and Linux ,which allows installation of windows based programs,we are testing and let you know if Pi will work smoothly on it.

  32. Saket Kumar April 23, 2016 at 12:24 pm

    Hi Rachit,
Thanks for showing interest in features of future release of Pi.
We have the following features in testing phase already ,and most probably in a couple of month’s time we will have these released:

    1)Multiple market watch
2)New indicators added(as per requests received) eg. Super Trend,Average True Range etc.
3)Another new way to search scrips and add (multiple scrips at a time) in the marketwatch .
    4)Layout saving
    and few more.

Do watch out for the latest release of Pi.

  33. DayTrader April 24, 2016 at 11:58 am

Please add chart time frame as ‘Second’ as well it may help lots of traders

  34. Raj May 8, 2016 at 7:09 pm

    A few suggestions:
    – Option to filter only Open Positions in the Admin window.
    – Option to filter orders in order book (example see only completed orders for a particular scrip)
    – if possible, option to switch charts of multiple scrips by just clicking on the scrip name in market watch (if we open more than 9 tabs, we need to click on the down arrow button on top right corner to switch between charts)
for eg, we divide the screen into 2 panels, left side we have market watch, right side we have all charts which we can switch by just clicking on the scrip name in market watch or some other window listing scrips for browsing.

  35. Saket Kumar May 9, 2016 at 8:24 am

    Hi Raj,
-Open Positions filter -we have noted this.

-Completed order in order book-This is already there in the order book, with separate panel called completed order(it contains both completed and cancelled too).

-You can use standard keyboard shortcut of Ctl+Tab to switch between opened panels(similar shortcut in web browsers)

  36. Raj May 11, 2016 at 11:44 pm

    Hi Saket,

    Thanks for your response.
    – filter for open positions in admin would be a great help.
    – wrt to the order book point, what i meant was an option to filter orders – say see only completed order, or see completed orders for a particular scrip

    – also just to add, i guess others have already mentioned – the option to save screen layout – it will be a very handy feature.

    – a few more sugestions..
    – the day separator in the chart appears only after the market opens, would it be possible to have it loaded at the end of previous day or may be before pre- open. Due to this, the charts need to be loaded only after open, if we want day separator. A workaround is obviously draw a vertical line before open, but we don’t have an option of a dotted vertical one, a solid line merges with the candle wicks.

    – after the latest update, while scrolling through charts, we are unable to use the mouse wheel which enabled us to scroll one candle at a time. Mouse wheel now zooms the chart. If we could get the option to scroll one candle at a time may be through Ctrl + arrow or any other combination.

-Option to display the qty and/or MTM of the open position on the respective scrip chart next to scrip price (not in quick order panel)

    – a keyboard shortcut to close position from the chart at market price.

  37. Debkrishna Ghosh Dastidar May 24, 2016 at 10:57 pm

I am using Pi and these are things I think will be useful ,

1 . The chart drag feature in Pi is not as smooth as Zerodha Kite .
2 . The Horizontal line value changes when I scroll the chart or when moving to another time frame .
3 . When a vertical line is drawn on a 30 min chart , the line is not showing on other time frames
3 . Drawing tools like Ray , Continuous , Segment , Line , Parallel Channel , Pitchfork which are very useful is only
available in Zerodha Kite is not available in Pi .
4 . When Rectangle is drawn in Pi it does not show the details like how much how many bars , percentage or
in terms of absolute like Zerodha Kite or neither it fills any colour .
5 , Please change the Horizontal line value tag to the left side of the chart , otherwise sometimes it gets
overlapped by the LTP tag which is constantly moving on the right side of the chart .
6 . Add Line chart in Pi .
7 . Let us able to set price alert in an easy way at user defined price level and make that alert pop out with
sound alerts when price touches the user defined price level .
8 . Add Log and Lnr scale which could be easily jumped from one to another .
9 . Please see that in a 30 min chart the first candle ends at 9:30 am which all the trading platforms in India have
right now , but in Pi right now the first 30 min candle ends at 9:45 am .
10 . Please add a Chart Book type feature in Pi just like Trade Tiger where we can shift from one chart to another
without typing the symbol in Change Script every time . Please see the below link .

  38. Saket Kumar May 25, 2016 at 11:27 pm

    Hi Raj,

We have noted down your valuable points.Rest assured we are striving to make Pi a better product each day.

  39. Saket Kumar May 25, 2016 at 11:35 pm

    Hi Debakrishna,

Definitely, all points you have mentioned are to be looked into.
We understand user experience is utmost important, and we want to improve everyday.do lookout for our new release(not immediate ,but in future) which will have these points addressed

  40. kl agarwal May 28, 2016 at 3:38 pm

great improvment in latest update, god bless you.

  41. kl agarwal May 28, 2016 at 3:39 pm

    great improvement.

  42. Sahil June 6, 2016 at 10:16 pm

    Hi
Although pi is a very good platform but it need some improvements which are listed as follows:
    1. Mouse scroll need to move the chart not resize it. Resize can be done easily with keyboard keys.
    2. You must add weekly and monthly chart capabilities.
    3. Hot keys for executing orders fast. Current procedure for executing orders is very lengthy.

Please add the above capabilities to the pi after adding these pi will be the no. 1 trading platform in india

  43. mohin tamboli June 16, 2016 at 8:08 pm

when u add famous indicator supertrend and ichimokuc cloud ??? and its EA ?? so please add we pay extra for data and amibroker and afl so please add above both indicator as soon as

  44. K-TOS June 20, 2016 at 8:14 pm

    Hello Saket sir!

You’re doing great work building Pi better with every release.
Here are few highly important suggestions I have.

    1. Please enable to view unlimited number of charts at once. Right now, there is max limit of only 12 charts.
I use many monitor screens and being able to open only 12 charts is very limiting experience. This is very easy fix so please allow to open any no. of charts.

    2. Please enable to scroll the charts VERTICALLY. I use fibonacci projections and extensions and not being able to scroll the chart vertically is very annoying. I’m sure it’s an easy fix.

    3. Please enhance the cross hair in Pi. and also give a shortcut to select/deselect it. Appearance of cross hair can be enhanced.

    4. Please display the price of crosshair/mouse cursor on the right side in Y axis. (Right now we can see it only in data box). So please make that minor addition. I’m sure many will like it.

    Thank you sir!

  45. Saket Kumar June 24, 2016 at 6:54 pm

    Hi Sahil, K-TOS,
Thanks a lot for your valuable feedback. Our team is definitely having a track on these. And as mentioned we will try to come up with these additions/fixes in the coming releases.

    Hi Mohan,
Super trend in the next release, Ichimoku will be later. To write that in the Trade script will require some effort.

  46. sunil June 29, 2016 at 12:37 pm

I am using zerodha Pi , I have not been able to create 2nd marketwatch in the same work space eg the nifty & the sensex scrips. Is it possible to do so & from where.

Also Pi does not have the moving ATP indicator which looks like a moving av line.

  47. Saket Kumar June 30, 2016 at 9:13 am

    Hi Sunil,
Do watch out for new release of Pi soon, we will have multiple MW ,new indicators like ATR ,Super trend

  48. K-TOS July 1, 2016 at 9:09 pm

    Hello Saket Sir!

We would love if you introduce Price alert feature in Pi.

For example, two ways to do it.
    1. Set a predefined price for whatever stock (without opening the chart).
Example.1) If I want to set price alert for stock say, A) Reliance @ 1000.20 B) L&T @ 1550 C)RCOM @ 53, and so on, then we can fill in a small price alert form and whenever the price touches the target, an alert will pop up.

    2. Another way to do this, Suppose if we open a chart, daily or Intraday of any time frame, we draw a trendline at support, resistance or anywhere. Then we right click the trendline and select Price alert (when price touches the trendline)…

Sir, this is gonna make our lives very easy. Please look into it. It’s a very to introduce feature and I’ve seen this is several softwares in foreign markets.

    Another request is,
Please allow to open unlimited number of charts simultaneously and
Please enable vertical scrolling of charts.

Thanks for the great work and your quick replies.

  49. Surya July 2, 2016 at 9:01 pm

Hi Saket, In how many days can we expect new release of PI and what new features are available

  50. Saket Kumar July 4, 2016 at 5:11 pm

    Hi K-TOS,
    1) This is already there in Create Scripted Alert.
Other points we have noted it down.

    Hi Surya,
This weekend we will come up with the new release.
1)Multiple market watch (limitation of adding 250 scrips -50 per MW)
2)New indicators added.eg Super Trend,Average True Range etc.
3)Another new way to search scrips and add (multiple scrips at a time) in the marketwatch .
    4)Layout saving
    and few more.

Do watch out for the latest release of Pi

  51. K-TOS July 7, 2016 at 9:46 pm

    Hi Saket..

    “Hi K-TOS,
    1) This is already there in Create Scripted Alert.”

Sir in scripted alerts, it opens the chart of the stock if we set stock price alert always. And max only 12 charts can be opened. If we click close chart, it says chart in use.

    What my suggestion is,
There must be a feature to alert WITHOUT opening the chart, as soon as the price crosses the set limit.

Maybe in market watch, if we right click any scrip, There must be option “SET PRICE ALERT”.

Also, in any particular chart, If we right click a trendline, There must be option ” SET PRICE ALERT HERE – (Adjustable) ”

    Another suggestion regarding drawing tools,
Please introduce more and better looking drawing tools.

    1. Better operational trendline feature. Allowing to customize size, color, thickness.
    2. Allow to copy, clone the trendline on right click.
3.Please introduce drawing tools like triangles, harmonic patterns, classical patterns like Head and shoulder and more. So we can draw on the charts.
4.In next version of Pi, try to make it more beautiful appearance wise. Right now it’s nice, But it can be great if given attention.

I know you and your team are working hard to make every release of Pi more efficient and better.
Just giving you more cool suggestions which are easy to work on and can make a huge difference in making Pi from good to great and soon best. I know we together can.

Will the above suggestion be considered in near future? Specially Price alert and drawing tools?

    Thank You!

  52. Saket Kumar July 7, 2016 at 10:25 pm

Thanks a lot K-TOS ,for your continuous feedback.Let me assure your points are noted down always.

Currently we use chart data to satisfy the price alerts.May be in future release we will have price alerts like in other platforms directly from Market watch.

1.This is addressed in the new release of Pi scheduled this weekend / next week.
Other points we will look into it.

  53. Saket Kumar July 8, 2016 at 7:54 pm

    Hi everyone,
We have a new release of Pi,please contact your broker’s support team to get the latest version now itself.Though next week it will be available to everyone.

    Hi Murali,
Yes you can use Expert Advisors/Scripted alerts in Pi to create conditions and hence get signals .Couple of clicks on the signal generated can send the orders to exchange.

    Hi Muniraj,
Relative Strength Index(RSI) is there in Study drop down of PI.Currently to add overbought/oversold levels use horizontal lines.

  60. renu August 22, 2016 at 9:31 pm

I am holding 4 accounts of my family members, can i open 4 terminals of PI in one laptop .i can do this easily in ZT.

  61. Saket Kumar August 22, 2016 at 10:00 pm

Hi Renu, yes you can do so in Pi as well.

  62. muniraj September 6, 2016 at 1:24 pm

    Hi saket kumar
In PI Cross hair not working very well How to count in PI cross hair 10 ber or 15 how moch pips count [as like [ MT4 platfrom ]

  63. Saket Kumar September 7, 2016 at 10:14 am

    Hi Muniraj,
Currently we don’t have the feature to measure pips.May be in future we can add this feature

  64. Raghavendra Rao September 15, 2016 at 11:52 am

I typically use a couple of indicators along with a couple of charts while trading. I use these across multiple stocks.
I am able to save & retrieve the charts by saving them as templates. However, I need to activate/start the indicators every time I open a stock. This is quite tedious and time-consuming.

Do you have a shortcut wherein I can load my most commonly used indicators for whichever scrip I need?
If not, please consider adding this feature in your future release.

  65. Neeraj Singh September 16, 2016 at 2:29 pm

    Hi Raghavendra,

You can use Default Templates in Chart Settings (User Settings) to set any template of your choice. Next time when you open a chart, it will be automatically applied to the chart.
Go to User Settings-> Chart Settings-> Select Default template and set template of your choice here.

  66. sameer patil September 21, 2016 at 12:00 am

    Hi,

while using PI, I am not able to add NSE Metal or NSE Pharma in Indices box, Could you please also allow to Edit Indices box to as per window size because i have to scroll down to to view in Indices box like Nest trader.

  67. Neeraj Singh September 22, 2016 at 10:12 am

    Hi Sameer,

Thanks for your suggestion, we will try to incorporate the same in future release of Pi.

  68. Vidhyapathy N S September 26, 2016 at 12:41 am

Hi would like added an studies.
I want change candle stick color based on few conditions (open, close and body). How to do that .

  69. Saket Kumar September 28, 2016 at 7:54 am

    Hi Vidhyapathy
    Currently it is not possible

  70. mohit October 9, 2016 at 5:10 pm

    hi saket
can we shift indicators vertically in pi like in kite ..if yes how? kindly explain

  71. Saket Kumar October 10, 2016 at 10:46 am

    Hi Mohit,

We can currently shift indicators from one panel to the other existing panel by selecting and dragging the indicator. But moving the indicator’s position up and down is not possible.

  72. muniraj November 8, 2016 at 1:37 pm

I am using the Pi Software and find it very difficult to use the Cross Hair feature. It gets enabled only when I drag it which is very cumbersome. I would like to be enabled with a click of a button. Also I do not see the prices highlighted on the right hand side when I have the cross hair feature. So do not see much use of it. Will you guys consider implementing it ?

  73. Saket Kumar November 9, 2016 at 1:05 pm

    Hi Muniraj,
To use Cross Hair, please have the left mouse click down while hovering over the candles(currently it is not like other platforms where by default it is there). But we will be making that change in future, also regarding the display too(though currently the prices are displayed in data box)

  74. Raoul December 23, 2016 at 5:34 pm

Indians are the worst programmers. Indians simply do not have the ingenuity when it comes to innovation. Zerodha Pi has so many imperfections that it is pointless to even compare it to international platforms. Very disappointing that we Indians only have ingenuity in mass corruption and mass encroachment

  75. Saket Kumar December 26, 2016 at 11:28 am

    Hi Raoul,
I understand you didn’t like Pi.Let us know the reason for the same.

  76. Raoul December 26, 2016 at 9:28 pm

Basic charting platform foundation must be strong so traders can feel as ease with their day to day trading. Pls fix the following problems asap in the next Zerodha Pi version: 1. Remove the white squares and introduce study with sub menus such add study, modify study, remove study, etc 2. Introduce an option for scrolling such as scroll bar at the bottom of the chart or provide an option to switch from mouse cursor scrollling to mouse wheel scrolling. 3. Drawing and modification of horizontal lines (support and resistance) should be with ease and not cumbersome as price, indicators, etc get selected showing white squares and mouse cursor gets hooked to the white squares when trying to adjust horizontal lines. 4. Trend line, horizontal line, vertical line replication is a must for technical analysis. 5. MACD Indicator should be able to increase and decrease thickness of histogram and MACD lines. Make it a color MACD indicator. 6. Chart scrolling is very sluggish in Zerodha Pi and not smooth. 7. Traders should see an price entry line once price has been executed at market price or limit price has been executed. Similarly stop loss line and target line should be seen on charts when stop loss or target has been placed. Users must be able to customize the colors of the lines similar to Metatrader 4. 8. Price movement should also be seen as a moving line on chart and also price movement should be highlighted on Y axis. I will continue to trade with broker Sharekhan until the above problems are fixed in Zerodha Pi.

  77. Raoul December 26, 2016 at 9:43 pm

What is it with the size of your source box after selecting an indicator and clicking edit on Pi? Is this the best you could do as programmers? List of indicators with open, high, close, low, etc is hardly visible. Such a small source box which cannot be made bigger by dragging the corners? Seriously am I in India or am I in a very backward country? What is it with day period separator indicator coz the whole screen becomes zoomed out as soon as the day separator is enabled. Can you not add a measuring tool to measure the distance of points on chart to the cross hair itself similar to metatrader 4? Is this the best MACD indicator you could come up with being Indians who are one of the best in programming? Compare your MACD indicator with Trade Tiger MACD indicator and see for your self. MACD histogram always comes inside of MACD and not separate.

  78. Saket Kumar December 27, 2016 at 9:17 am

    Hi Raoul,
Pi uses a 3rd party chart library, which sometimes cannot be changed much due to its limitations,in future we may completely change the library ,then most of the charting issues you are facing currently will be addressed.
    Anyways,regarding your points:
1.The white squares around the indicators, are to tell the users once selected,it can dragged to other panels.Currently modifying/deleting indicators on double click is there.Adding indicators from the toolbar is on mouse click,we can add keyboard shortcut soon.
2.Scrollbar we can add.Currently key board shortcuts Left key,Right key is there.
3.The indicators/prices are selected as those can be dragged to other panels hence those white boxes are enabled.
4.Cloning/replication of drawing in our to do list
5,6,7 We can look into it.
8.You mean line chart ,which will be available soon in coming release.

    Others points:
    >Data box size resize we can give in coming release.
    >Yes,on using day separator it is zoom out to show all the days in the chart,End button can bring the chart to the latest candle.
    >Measuring tool we can look into this.
    >Yes,MACD and MACD histogram are separate but it can be dragged and can be put into one panel.

  79. Raoul December 27, 2016 at 4:39 pm

Not line chart but price line to show where the current price is. Current price is almost invisible and cannot be seen.
In metarader 4 and other platforms, current price is shown by a horizontal line and y axis is highlighted to show where current price is. In your pi now there is nothing to show where is the location of current price or highlighted on y axis

  80. Raoul December 27, 2016 at 4:41 pm

Pls enhance the macd indicator asap, to thicken the macd histrogram and also add colors. White squares are a hindrance for scrolling across the charts. Atleast provide an option to disable them when scrolling across the charts.

  81. Raoul December 27, 2016 at 4:55 pm

Current price is highlighted on y axis which is good but also pls show current price as a horizontal line so it is a lot more easier to see the current price.

  82. Raoul December 27, 2016 at 4:58 pm

I totally agree with Muniraj about cross hair on what he said “I am using the Pi Software and find it very difficult to use the Cross Hair feature. It gets enabled only when I drag it which is very cumbersome. I would like to be enabled with a click of a button. Also I do not see the prices highlighted on the right hand side when I have the cross hair feature. So do not see much use of it. Will you guys consider implementing it ?”
I totally agree with his suggestion.

  83. Raoul December 27, 2016 at 7:50 pm

I was referring to the current price line not line chart. Current price line is more easy to see where the current price is at. Current price is highlighted in the y axis but pls also provide the current price line similar to metatrader 4. Also pls show target line and stop line when trade is executed for bracket orders and Cover orders. Pls provide option to change the colors for current price line, target line and stop line similar to metatrader 4.

  84. Saket Kumar December 29, 2016 at 11:22 am

    Hi Raoul,
Ok sure,we can try to incorporate price line, but as you saw we do have price label if the chart is on the latest candle(use End button to jump to latest candle).Rest of the points too we will look to incorporate if it is feasible.

  85. Akash parkar December 29, 2016 at 7:41 pm

hii.. can i install my custom indicator on pi?
is that easy as mt4 plateform?

  86. Saket Kumar December 30, 2016 at 3:35 pm

    Hi Akash,
Currently custom strategy can be coded in Alerts/Scanners section to get live alerts but it won’t be visible on chart as an indicator.

  87. RRRajguru January 3, 2017 at 1:02 am

In the user settings –> chart setting, when we are selecting the PIVOT LINE box and saving, we are anticipating that these settings are saved for the next day. But again one ave to open user setting –> chart setting, and have to check PIVOT LINE box to make effect on the chart.

Why it is like this? In the old version it was working fine.

Please also give option to plot, previous day HIGH, Previous day LOW, previous day OPEN and previous day CLOSE line to plot on the chart automatically. So also give scan facility to scan the stocks who are crossing over the previous day HIGH or Previous day LOW line.

    Thanks.

  88. Saket Kumar January 3, 2017 at 11:07 am

    Hi RRRajguru,
Thanks for pointing this, saving of pivot settings will be fixed in coming release of Pi.Also, regarding the Previous HLC lines we will look into implementing the same.

  89. Manoj January 3, 2017 at 1:17 pm

    Hi,
Regarding trading from chart, can I modify an order placed from chart by simply dragging it to a new price? If not can we expect it in next release? And please bring more feature in the trading from chart section. It has more than an year without any major functionality enhancement in chart trader section. Please make the chart trader ‘complete’. For usability perspective please refer how chart trader is working in ninjatrader. If possible please bring all those feature in pi.

  90. Samantha Pollack January 23, 2017 at 7:12 pm

Amazing review. Very helpful for beginner traders like us. Also, wanted to ask whether Zerodha is suitable for beginners?
I read a review online, would appreciate your thoughts. Apologies as its a little off-track.

    Thanks!

  92. Saket Kumar February 1, 2017 at 11:13 am

    Hi,
I am using Linux OS(UBUNTU) but pi not available for Linux now. Are you plan to release in future, pi kind of software for Linux OS?

  94. Saket Kumar February 20, 2017 at 1:46 pm

    Hi Ajit,
We do not have a plan for Linux/Mac currently. But with advent of opensource .NET core for Linux,we are hopeful for it in future.

i m facing problem while opening charts in pi, its opens in half window and freeze the whole pi software.
This problem gets solved after running “register_chart.bat”, BUT i have to run this register_chart.bat everytime before opening pi.

I m using windows 10 64bit home version, with intel 6th gen i5 6200U cpu along with 8Gb of RAM.

  96. Saket Kumar March 14, 2017 at 11:09 am

    Hi Amit,
This can happen if there are programs which are causing conflicts with the files used by Pi.
If you are still facing the issue please mail us at info@tradelab.in we will have a look at it and have a permanent fix.

  97. ARYAN March 25, 2017 at 1:10 am

Whenever any stock hits day’s low or day’s high………there should be some colour change in background of scrip in the marketwatch…..this feature is already present in nest software….n quite helpful for me during trading hours….as it will highlight those scrips in marketwatch which are making fresh day’ high or low…plzz let me know if u can do something regarding this feature…it doesn’t seems to be a big task for u…but it will be great help for me if u do this

    Hi Rajesh,
Currently only Daily Pivot points are available.Open any chart on Pi and right click to apply any of the 4 types of Pivot points:
    a)Basic b)Camarilla c)Fibonacci d)Woodies

  109. Raoul July 19, 2017 at 5:10 pm

May I know when you will enable trend line replication for all time frames? Trend lines replication is long overdue for Pi. For example: If I plot a trend line in hourly chart, I should be able to see the same trend line in 15 min chart. Tradingview.com India charting layout is brilliant. Pure logic which we Indians lack very much.
